Christmas Present

                      

This was our Christmas present a few days early!

We finally got our mission call 6 weeks after it was sent in by President Miles.  We are going to the Chile Santiago East Mission assigned to work 18 months in Santiago Chile temple.  We feel very blessed and humbled to receive a call from the Lord to serve in Chile Lindo.  I served my mission there in 1968-1970 and am thrilled to return with Millie for this special time in our lives.  We report to Provo Utah April 2nd for 2 weeks of training.  We then will fly to Santiago, Chile on April 13th.  Millie has worked in the Seattle temple for 5 plus years and I have worked for 1 1/2 years, so we both have a love for temple and genealogy work.  We will start tutoring tomorrow in the Spanish language.  Millie will have an hour and I will have an hour.  We are hoping that the language comes to Millie so she can feel comfortable as soon as possible.  I want to brush up on my grammar and start augmenting my vocabulary.  I was in Santiago last October 2011 for 3 weeks and feel I am ready for the challenge.  My friends in Chile are excited to have us there for an extended period of time.  Well this is the first of many blogs to come.
